BATMAN FEVER

This title needs no introduction. Everybody knows The Batman is the new phenomenon. It's not like one of those typical superhero movie where you fight typical bad guys, fly back and forth to save the world and everyone clapping for your heroism.

Instead, it focuses on corruption in Gotham City where crime, violence and homicides are ascending and basically, its a hellhole city. The city seems like its not a safe place to live anymore, everyone lived in fear but those in the upper positions went with their lives lavishly with bodyguards escorting them. But little did they know, someone has been plotting their death and their mysterious departion from this world gained attention from Batman as the perpetrator mentioned his desire to meet him through clues and riddles. What now we playin' Treasure Hunt??

Spoilers aside, this isn't your typical Batman movies where is he is looked up to like the friendly neighbourhood spiderman (no offense). Rather people looked down on him, spite him with harsh words like "who is this psycho in that mask." I mean its prety hilarious for a guy wearing a bat costume arrive in crime scene in the middle of 20 policeman? No matter how harsh he was treated, Bruce Wayne aka Batman remained vigilant in keeping his identity a mystery. He was loathed by citizens of Gotham because of his inheritence from his parents, but since he is a Wayne, he is still given a special treatment. That was tough, and depressing as well as how disturbing it is for me to fathom on how he manages to keep his rage inside while not being Batman and just being Bruce Wayne the rich kid who never have to go to the orphanage and shared bedroom with 30 other kids, surrounded by rats and slumps.

I love how this movie casted underrated actors. Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano (Riddler), Collin Farrel as Penguin. Paul Dano has acted in several roles as a good boy turning psycopath and his performance? Astounding. He could be Joker if he wanted to. I hope there will be a sequel soon and won't mind having to hold in my pee and cramped my butt for 3 hours again.

I'm usually not a big fan of superheroes and highly fictionalized stories, and this movie highly depicts corruptions and crimes that are hidden from the public, something we all can relate. We are aware of the corruption happening in our country, yet if small fishes like us stand up to fight against it, it will end up putting us in jail, being targeted for something or being excluded from everything. Thats how innocent people end up having to pay the price of the real perpetrators. But not all their inheritors are the same. Not all kids from a rich family enjoy their meal while the citizens got mobbed on a train. Lit the bat signal, and this typical rich kid suit on his bat costume and teleport to the crime scene like magic. And can we talk about the Batmobile???? Ok not gonna spoil that.

This version of Batman is dark, depicts a broken little boy to vengaeance against those who killed his family. A rich kid that isn't friendly towards others or go to the public often. As Bruce or Batman, he is disgusted by people for certain reasons.

I love this movie, Robert Pattinson nailed this. I sounded so biased, but I've seen him in other movies. But this movie hits differently. Aside from Joker and Batman, I wanna see dark versions of superhero/supervillains that has amazing character building. Please keep Paul Dano in the next series, and maybe hire Freddie Highmore to be Riddler's accomplice? IDK. We'll see.

I am vengeance, quoted Batman.

Reminds me of anonymous hackers.

We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.
