Of aesthetics decos and political impasse

It's been 5 days post election, and Malaysia still haven't got its final say on who will be the next AKA the tenth Prime Minister.

At least during the last GE, we waited till 3am in the morning where Pakatan Harapan won the majority and Tun Dr. Mahathir were subsequently sworn in as the seventh Prime Minister.

But this time around, none of the parties won a simple majority and pretty much everyone is in a conundrum - mainly those politicians - on whether or not they should join this coalition, who to support, etc.

As for now, the King has the final say. So we, as a citizen of Malaysia who have stayed in line for voting - some even queued up for hours - hope and pray to have a Prime Minister and a stable government. Thats all we're asking, and hope they don't dawdle with this because the repercussions will lead to quagmires that can deviate the economy to more gloomier than it already is. This is because political impasse scares investors away - and it reflected really badly for our country in terms of economics especially.

Idk whats gonna happen to this beloved country. I hope we will bounce back from the precipice of this instability because alot of people - if not more - have been thinking to opt for migrating. A place that is oceans aways from us provided more opportunity to progress way much more.

We have alot of talent in Malaysia, and its sad to see their own country didn't give the recognition they deserved.

Oh well, I'm sad and furious about all of this. But as a regular citizen who has no power - and voices are often forsaken, we just have to accept our aversion and move on while praying our country doesn't fall apart even more.

Anyway, I'm just gonna fill my blogpost for now with pictures of aesthetic decorations. I visited a bookstore - a preloved bookstore to claim free books in conjunction with election day. Here are some of the pictures:

There's something about old and used books that makes it so pleasant. I can look at it all day and still be in awe. I used to resent old books cause I wanted to own a book first hand - all pretty and not quaint-looking. But now, I have a different perspective. There's a beauty in grasping something that were once used by someone, or some people, and we know that the knowledge and philosophies they instilled - are still tangibly fixated in those pages. And I hope I can at least share the intangible wisdom behind it.

Have a greeatt week everyone.

FYI..
AMWAR IBRAHIM IS THE 10TH PRIME MINISTER! YEAAHOOOO
