Blissful week

24 November 2022  a date to remember

The social media platforms  FB, Twitter, Instagram and news website were filled with news on the possible announcement of the 10th Prime Minister  and most Malaysians, especially who went to vote  kept refreshing their homepage to see if there's any good news that could end the political deadlock that has been going on for a few days after the election. I guess the uncertainty of the condition of our country has steered our confidence towards the leaders negatively, and how abysmal our system is.

Majority already has a PM candidate in mind  torn between the two  one of them believed to be making reformation (the term "reformasi" reverberating everywhere as a sign of supporting the unity government) and one of them made controversial remarks that uses race and religion card  you know who. Of course any wise people won't pick the latter, and we certainly hope the first choice is what it is.

And then outnof the blue..the news we have waited for days has come to light abd brought good news to us all. Alhamdulillah. So to the new millenial generation  as an advice from a Gen-Y  never stop scrolling and hoping. #notsureifitsagoodadvicebutitworkedforme

Listened to it while driving

Okay enough about politics..

Just wanted to keep some photos here for memories.

Went to Changkat Jering last Saturday for a wedding. The wedding was on Sunday, but we stayed the night so we can have some excursions in Ipoh and Taiping on Saturday.

Mandatory places..Plan B!!

The sweet potato balls were sooo good. Its crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside and its so sweet  perfect for the "melt-in-the-mouth" kind of snack. #m&mwho?

Also who doesn't get enthusiastic seeing a Milo stall? It's hard to even see a Milo truck in KL, what more a lot of variations of Milo that you can make. The ice-blended Milo was okay  not the most scrumptious, but still quenched our thirst and satisfy our Milo cravings.

Then we went to Changkat Jering. Our stay totalled up to Rm95 per night for two people. Talking about reasonable price with interesting things to see.

Its like a chalet, has a pool and has like a mini zoo as well. I didnt know there are many types of chicken species: ayam kampung, ayam batik, etc and I was so mesmerized that some chicken has ostentacious pattern on their feathers, different colours, and some are like sooo fat and has feathers on their feet.

And then they had a mini petting zoo opposite of the place we stayed. I recommend this place if you are a nature lover, wanted to have a bbq by the pool plus a mini zoo that allowes you to feed birds, rabbit, and hedgehog - do come to Ethno Valley in Changkat Jering. Perfect for kids to learn about animals and have some nature excursions.

By night time, we had dinner with some of my hub's officemate at a western shop. And then around 10.30, we decided to go for night safari tour in zoo taiping. Dunno why we are still up and about after hours of driving, market hopping and mini zoo excursions - we are still feeling pretty active and since we are going back the next day, why not make use of our day right?

Sadly, since it was pitch dark and the torchlight isnt of much help  most of the animals aren't visible. To top that, the quality of my photos are abysmal, given the owner of the phone is not a good photographer so, not gonna post the photos here.

And thats the end of our Saturday. The wedding was next day, and we headed home right after that coz we are tooo tired to go on any more jaunts.

congratz Mimi and husband<3. May Allah bless your marriage till Jannah
